Document Authentications – Appeals Procedure

If a decision is taken not to authenticate/apostille a document at our public counters in Dublin or Cork, an immediate review of the decision can be requested to be carried out by the supervisor on duty.

If the person remains dissatisfied with the decision, an appeal can be made in writing, together with a full copy of the document to: Authentications Appeals Officer, Consular Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Iveagh House, 80 St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2, D02 VY53.
