16 June 2022Bloomsday 2022 saw the Embassy participate in "Hold To The Now" a video by Ireland's Department of Foreign Affairs and the Museum of Literature Ireland to celebrate Bloomsday 2022 and 100 years of the publication of Ulysses. Dr Maria Frendo from the Department of English at the University of Malta participated from Malta and recited from Ulysses at the stunning San Anton Gardens.
The Embassy proudly contributed towards the staging of "Ulysses: A Portrait of the Artist on Fire" in conjunction with the University of Malta and partners and which also comprised part of the Victoria International Arts Festival in Malta. To celebrate the 100th year anniversary of Ulysses, Vikesh Godhwani and Emma Johnson wrote this tribute to Ulysses 100 years on and enchanted the audience throughout.
