The University of Wuppertal invites applications for a Visiting Professor in “Irish Studies“ in the School of Humanities (English and American Studies) for the period 1 October 2021 – 31 March 2022.
The Visiting Professor in Irish Studies is a joint initiative of the Government of Ireland, the Embassy Of Ireland in Berlin and the University of Wuppertal. It is funded by the Irish Government’s Emigrant Support Programme (ESP).
The salary level is that of a W3 professorship in accordance with the Landesbesoldungsgesetz for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Bei der Gastprofessur für Irish Studies handelt es sich um eine gemeinsame Initiative der irischen Regierung, der Botschaft von Irland in Berlin und der Bergischen Universität Wuppertal. Sie wird finanziell durch das Emigrant Support Programme (ESP) der irischen Regierung unterstützt.
Die Vergütung wird analog einer W3-Professur gemäß des Landesbesoldungsgesetzes für das Land Nordrhein-Westfalen gezahlt.
