The Third Policeman by Flann O'Brien - a reading at the embassy

The Third Policeman reading.

The Embassy of Ireland, Berlin invites you to a reading of Irish literature.

Dr. Turlach O Broin performed excerpts from The Third Policeman by Flann O’Brien in the embassy event space.

The Third Policeman is absurd, ironic and tragic. The novel is a classic of Irish literature and when animated by Dr. Turlach, brought great mirth and merriment to the audience, who it seemed would have loved to have heard more.

Keep an eye on the embassy's media platforms for news of further readings of Irish literature by Dr. Turlach.

Artist Bio
O Broin is a daily plebiscite, he would, as we say in Ireland, go a piece of the road with anyone. He has a magpie’s eye and a cavernous ear. He likes humans even if he often prefers when they are not around. He comes from a place called Strifeland, located in a region known as The Pale in Ireland. He left his home to find his home in 2017 and ended up in Berlin, as so many do. O Broin writes poems, takes photos, is subject to doubt and servant of conjecture. By nature he is cyclical.
