German Irish Council Hub
We are delighted to inform you of the launch of a new German Irish community platform from our friends at the German Irish Council, the GIC Hub.
The GIC Hub is an initiative of the German Irish Council (GIC), an umbrella group formed under the patronage of Ambassador, H.E. Dr Nicholas O’Brien, as an advisory & support body for all German Irish Societies, Clubs, Networks & Organisations active throughout the Bundesländer.
The role of the GIC is to foster greater connectivity and collaboration within our community by facilitating the exchange of ideas and information, the promotion of events and the preparation of joint funding applications as well as providing support to the establishment of new organisations. Other functions include acting as a resource/first point of contact for persons interested in becoming part of the community and as a multiplier for the online presence of our organisations and groups.
The hub is the online home of the Council and its launch is an important development in bringing the community closer together on a dedicated site. Its main feature is a central news feed for organisations & clubs to upload important announcements and information on events. Other features include a directory with links to the homepages of community groups, and a complementary bundle of online awareness & upskilling courses which can be taken at leisure to advance personal goals.
All community members are invited to enroll on the hub via this Enrolment Link. Upon entering your name and email address you will be forwarded an email to create a personal password and to login to the platform at https://gic.hiuphub.com/login. The GIC hub is a private platform with password protected access and can only be accessed via the login link.
If you are an organiser of a club, society or network and wish to receive administrator rights to post to the news feed or add/update your organisation’s details on the directory, please contact Declan Murray at gic@olivegroup.io who will be more than happy to arrange this. We encourage you to invite your members to enroll on the platform and would appreciate it if you could post this announcement on your homepage and social media sites.
The platform and courses have been provided courtesy of Olive Group who will maintain the site on behalf of the GIC and upload additional courses over time. Wir freuen uns, Sie über die neue deutsch-irische Online-Plattform informieren zu dürfen, die von unseren Freunden beim German Irish Council (GIC Hub) geschaffen wurde.
Der GIC Hub ist eine Initiative des German Irish Councils, eine Dachorganisation, die unter der Schirmherrschaft des Botschafters, S.E. Dr. Nicholas O´Brien, geschaffen wurde. Als Beratungs- und Unterstützungsorgan für alle Deutsch-Irischen Gesellschaften, Klubs, Netzwerke & Organisationen, die in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland aktiv sind.
Die Rolle des GIC ist dabei, eine größere Vernetzung und Zusammenarbeit innerhalb unserer Gemeinschaft zu fördern, indem er den Austausch von Ideen und Informationen erleichtert, die Förderung von und Werbung für Veranstaltungen, sowie gemeinsame Finanzierungsmodelle zu erarbeiten. Aber auch zur Unterstützung bereitzustehen bei der Etablierung neuer Organisationen. Weiterhin fungiert es als Ressource/erste Kontaktanlaufstelle für Personen, die Teil der Gemeinschaft werden wollen und als Multiplikator für die Onlinepräsenz unserer Organisationen und Gruppen.
Diese Plattform ist die Onlineheimat des Councils und ihr Start ist eine wichtige Entwicklung dahin, die Community auf einer speziell dafür vorgesehenen Seite enger zusammenzubringen. Das Hauptmerkmal der Plattform ist eine zentrale Oberfläche für Neuigkeiten von Organisationen und Klubs. Darauf können wichtige Ankündigungen und Informationen zu Veranstaltungen geladen werden. Weitere Funktionen sind ein Verzeichnis mit Links zu den Homepages von Gruppen der Community und ein Paket von Kursen zu bestimmten Themen und zum Ausbau von Fähigkeiten. Diese können nach Belieben belegt werden, um persönliche Ziele zu befördern.
Alle Communitymitglieder sind herzlich eingeladen, sich mittels (Registrierungs-) Enrolment Link auf der Plattform zu registrieren.
Bitte geben Sie dort Ihren Namen und Ihre E-Mail-Adresse ein und senden Sie die Registrierung ab. Daraufhin erhalten Sie eine E-Mail, um ein Passwort zu generieren, mit dem Sie sich auf der Plattform unter https://gic.hiuphub.com/login einloggen können. Die GIC Plattform (GIC Hub) ist eine private Plattform mit passwortgeschütztem Zugang.
Falls Sie der Organisator/Vorsitzende/Präsident eines Klubs, einer Gesellschaft oder eines Netzwerks sind und Administratorrechte erhalten möchten, damit Sie Beiträge in den News Feed einstellen oder Details zu Ihrer Organisation im Verzeichnis hinzufügen oder aktualisieren können, kontaktieren Sie bitte Declan Murray at gic@olivegroup.io, der dies gerne für Sie einrichtet. Wir würden uns freuen wenn Sie Ihre Mitglieder einladen würden, sich auf der Plattform zu registrieren und wenn Sie diese Ankündigung auf Ihrer Homepage sowie über Ihre sozialen Medien veröffentlichen könnten.
Die Plattform und die Kurse werden freundlicherweise von der Olive Group zur Verfügung gestellt, welche diese im Auftrag des GIC pflegt und im Laufe der Zeit weitere Kurse zur Verfügung stellen wird.
