Embassy appointments system
In order to contribute to containment efforts and to ensure continuity of our consular services, the Embassy is now operating with reduced on-site staffing. Our phone lines remain open at normal times but the Embassy’s public office is operating strictly on an appointment only basis. Individuals with symptoms of Covid 19, who have had contact with a confirmed case or who returned from a high risk area should not come to the Embassy.
Appointments must be made in advance by phoning us on +49 (0)30 220720 or or sending an email to berlin [at] dfa [dot] ie and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please bear in mind that these arrangements may be subject to change depending on developments.
Our out of hours duty service also continues as normal and Irish citizens who require urgent assistance can leave a message on our answering machine outside of normal working hours
We continue to encourage all Irish citizens living in Germany to follow the advice of local authorities in relation to the Covid 19 coronavirus.
The advice is changing regularly.
