VIBE partners meeting

Hanoi 17 April 2018

The Embassy of Ireland hosted the first-ever partner meeting of the Vietnam Ireland Bilateral Education Exchange (VIBE) Programme.

Since 2015, the VIBE programme has provided catalytic grants to support 11 partnerships between  11 Vietnamese universities and 7 Irish higher education institutions in a wide range of co-operation, including curriculum development, academic staff and student exchange, and joint research.

The University of Science and Technology Hanoi, in collaboration with University College Cork, Ireland, is developing a Long Range Energy Alternatives Planning System (LEAP) model that can be used to inform policy planning in the Vietnam energy sector.

The Vietnam National Economics University (NEU) and Trinity College Dublin are working together on a project to promote social innovation and support an eco-system for social entrepreneurship in Vietnam.
