Opening of the Irish Passport Collection Centre in VFS Global, Dubai

Following a security review, it has been concluded that, regrettably, we can no longer provide passport and consular services at the Irish Embassy Liaison Office in the H Hotel, Dubai.
Full passport and consular services are available at the Embassy of Ireland in Abu Dhabi.
Having considered a number of alternative ways of delivering a secure and efficient passport service to applicant citizens in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, the Embassy has entered into an arrangement with the VFS Global Dubai Office to distribute newly issued passports to such applicants.
The ‘Irish Passport Collection Centre’ will open in VFS Global, Wafi Mall, Dubai, on 10th February 2020. The service fee will be AED 42.
VFS Global has been providing Irish visa application services on behalf of the Embassy of Ireland in Abu Dhabi since 2018. It offers a secure and fully tracked service for transportation of passports. We are confident that VFS will provide an excellent service to Irish citizens in Dubai and the Northern Emirates through extended opening hours, online tracking facilities and a dedicated call service.
After 10th February, applicants who opt to use the VFS service will be able to track their passport from the Embassy in Abu Dhabi to Dubai on http://www.vfsglobal.com/Ireland/uae and will receive a notification when their passport is ready for collection in Dubai.
Applicants who prefer not to use the VFS service can continue to collect their passport from the Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
This is a passport collection service only and all offline passport applications, plus supporting documentation for online passport applications, will need to be submitted directly to the Embassy in Abu Dhabi for processing. Similarly, consular applications, such as Foreign Birth Registration, marriage and authentications, can only be submitted to the Embassy.
