The Emigrant Support programme aims to foster greater links and strategic cooperation between Ireland and the global Irish whilst offering support to Irish emigrants, particularly the most vulnerable.

The Presidential Distinguished Service Award for the Irish Abroad recognises sustained, distinguished service to Ireland, its communities abroad or its international reputation by those living abroad.
