Corona notification - Current situation Austria

A number of cases of novel corona virus (COVID-19) have been confirmed in Austria. The Austrian Ministry of Health monitors the current developments very closely and measures are currently being implemented by the responsible health authorities. A Health Hotline 1450 has been set up for people with symptoms or people suspecting to have been infected.

Please refer to the DFA Travel Advice section for Austria for current updates. If have concerns about the corona virus, or if you would like to receive travel advice you can also call the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs’ dedicated phone line +353 (0)1 613 1733. If you intend to travel soon you can also register online.

The Austrian Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs regularly updates travel warnings related to COVID-19. Information is provided in German.

The Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research has set up a special crisis management system in order to provide all stakeholders with comprehensive and regularly updated information within its remit on the latest developments in the COVID-19 outbreak. Information and recommendations for schools, students, staff and researchers are available in German and English.
