Team Ireland

The Embassy works in Vietnam, as well as Cambodia and Laos, to promote Irish economic interests, and assist Irish businesses to develop their activities in South-East Asia, to deliver on Ireland’s development commitments, and to support Irish citizens in the region with consular and passport services, and engagement with communities abroad through promotions of Irish heritage and organisation of Irish cultural events.

In achieving several of these goals, the Embassy works closely with a number of State Agencies to provide relevant information and support in organising activities and exploring business opportunities. All these agencies form part of what can be described as our global “Team Ireland”.

Enterprise Ireland

Enterprise Ireland (EI) is the government organisation responsible for developing and growing Irish enterprises in international markets. Enterprise Ireland assists a number of Irish business operating partnerships in or with Vietnamese businesses.  Enterprise Ireland opened their office in Ho Chi Minh City in January 2020 as part of the Global Ireland 2025 strategy.  Enterprise Ireland has nine regional offices throughout Ireland and over 30 international locations, facilitating access to more than 60 countries worldwide. 

Bord Bia

The Irish Food Board, known as  Bord Bia, acts as a link between Irish food, drink and horticulture suppliers and existing and potential customers throughout the world. Bord Bia has a network of overseas offices, and its representatives for Vietnam are located in Singapore. Vietnam has identified as a strategic priority market.

Tourism Ireland

Tourism Ireland markets the island of Ireland as a holiday destination overseas. It devises and implements world-class marketing programmes and provides industry partners with opportunities to market their own products and services alongside Tourism Ireland overseas. Their website includes a wide variety of information about holidaying in Ireland. Tourism’s Ireland’s regional office is located in Dubai.

IDA Ireland

Ireland's inward investment promotion agency, IDA Ireland (Industrial Development Agency) is responsible for attracting and developing foreign investment. IDA Ireland covers Vietnam from its Singapore office.
