Processing Timeframes
This Visa Office experiences an increase in demand for visas and in the number of applications received each summer, and this is expected to occur again this year.
Our current target processing times are detailed on our website, Weekly Decision Reports - Department of Foreign Affairs (dfa.ie). The expected increase in applications received will likely further extend the target processing times, in particular for short stay e.g. visit/business etc. visa applications.
Applications can be submitted up to 90 days before your planned travel date. Submitting your application in a timely manner increases the chances of the application being processed before your planned travel date.
This Office is not in a position to expedite the processing of any visa application. To ensure fairness to all applicants, applications are dealt with in strict chronological order.
