St Patrick's Day Parade - Oslo

The Norwegian Irish Society St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place on Saturday the 14th March. All are welcome and the organisers would urge everyone to wear green to mark the day!

Start Point

The parade starting point will be Jernbanetorget (i.e. outside Oslo S). Please arrive as early as possible.

Start Time

The parade will start at 12pm sharp

The organisers would like all participants to arrive as soon as possible at the start point, preferably up to 30 minutes beforehand so that all marchers can be organised. If you should arrive late you are still very welcome to join the parade at the back or as instructed by the marshals. You can also join at Universitetsplass.

Colour and St Patrick's Day

The organisers would like as many people as possible to join the parade and be as colourful as possible.

After Parade Event : Teaterkjeller`n

In order to provide an opportunity to showcase Irish culture and to enjoy some refreshment and entertainment, this year's aprés-parade gathering organised by the Norweigan Irish Society is taking place at Teaterkjeller`n. This is situated beside Oslo Nye Teater on Akersgata 38 (a 5 minute walk from Universitetsplass).

A buffet lunch will be served at/from 1.30pm, followed by a display of Irish Dance provided by the Sound-Irish Dance Factory and afterwards the play An Rón Dall performed by the Irish group Fibin at 3.30.

Price:

  • Adult: 200kr
  • Children up to 12 years: 150kr
  • Children under 3 years: free

To enable the chefs to prepare enough food for the required numbers, tickets must be purchased in advance. Attendance is strictly limited to 120 tickets so be sure to book early.
