Urgent Renewal Appointment Service

If you need an urgent appointment to process a passport renewal application, the London Passport Office offers an urgent appointments service at our public office on Cromwell Road for the renewal of Adult and child Passports only.

This is a 5 day renewal service and appointments can be booked online up to 3 weeks in advance.

To avail of this renewal service, applicants must first book an appointment online to attend the public office. You cannot book an appointment if you have already submitted an online application.

If you book an appointment when you already have an application made through the online system, we will cancel the appointment and refund your fee. Your online application will continue to process in line with current turnaround times

This service is not available to first time passport applicants.

Passport Express

The Passport Express Service operated by the post offices in Glasgow and Liverpool is open. You will need to visit the post offices in person to avail of this service.

Passport Express is the only postal application method in Great Britain for paper applications. The turnaround time for this service is estimated at 8 weeks. Passport Express applications cannot be expedited and you are advised to not book flights until you have your passport.

If you need your passport sooner, please use Passport Online or our new urgent renewal appointments service.

We will not process passport applications submitted by ordinary or registered post. These applications will be returned to you unprocessed.
