Ostrava Irish Festival

This year saw the tenth anniversary of the Irish Cultural Festival in Ostrava. The event attracted over 6000 visitors and featured live music in Bernie’s Irish Pub and Baxters’ club on Stodolní Street, as well as Irish theatre (The Cripple of Inishmaan, Petr Bezruc Theatre, Ostrava), literature and film. Ambassador Kelly attended the traditional Gala Ball, which took place in the Imperial Hotel on Friday, 28 March. The festival culminated in a free concert in the Bonver Arena on 29 March. Festival-goers also enjoyed a Week of Irish Cuisine with traditional Irish food being served at the Hotel Brioni throughout the week.
