Reception in honour of George Boole at the Embassy

Ambassador Kavanagh hosted a reception in honour of the 200th Birthday of UCC alumnus George Boole
“forefather of the Information Age”. The event was held in cooperation with Education in Ireland and University College Cork on December 14 in Beijing.

Camerata Ireland - Tour to China

Leading all Ireland chamber orchestra, Camerata Ireland will be touring in China this week (10th - 15th December) including major cities such as Guangzhou, Yichun, Wuhan, Shanghai and the capital Beijing.

Irish Stand at the Chinese Seafood Exhibition

Ambassador Kavanagh met with Vice-Minister Qu from the Ministry of Agriculture At the Irish stand at the Chinese Seafood Exhibition in Qingdao on 4 November. One of the Irish companies presenting its produce is selling live crab online. These delicious crabs can be delivered live from the West coast of Ireland to Beijing within 30 hours.

Irish participation at the China Horse Fair in Beijing

Ambassador Kavanagh was the keynote speaker at the Irish pavilion event during the China Horse Fair in Beijing on October 14th. This was the second year that Irish agencies and companies participated at the Fair.

Ambassador Kavanagh delivered a keynote speech at the second Confucius Institute Headquarters Open Day event which was held on 25 September at the Beijing headquarters of Confucius Institute. The theme of the event was "Cultural Exchanges and World Peace".
