Premier of @HOME Documentary to screen at the Celtic Club, Melbourne

A heart-warming documentary looking at how Irish seniors living in Melbourne have embraced social media as a means of staying in contact with home.

Melbournians will recognize many familiar spots such as the Celtic Club, Comhaltas, the Irish Australian Resources and Support Bureau, and the Irish Language Association, not to mention some familiar faces.

The documentary will have its premiere at the Celtic Club on 27 October at 18:30 before being screened at a number of film festivals in Ireland in the coming months.

The documentary is part of a larger project being run by Dr. Liam Byrne of Swinburne Institute of Technology entitled ‘New Media, Aging, and Migration’ looking at how older Irish people in Melbourne make use of social media.
