Survey of Irish Diaspora in Asia

In July 2018 Minister of State for the Diaspora and International Development Ciaran Cannon T.D. published the results survey of the Irish Diaspora in Asia.

The survey was undertaken by the Irish Abroad Unit in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in conjunction with Ireland’s Embassies and Consulates in the region. A total of 785 respondents took part in this survey and the information and feedback received is being followed up on by Units across the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The survey results give an evidence based indication of the range of sectors that Irish people work in, as well as the diversity within and between different Irish communities and their engagement with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
